India's third female chess grandmaster, Vaishali Rameshbabu becomes makes history with brother Praggnanandhaa

Indian chess prodigy Vaishali Rameshbabu has secured her grandmaster title by surpassing 2,500 International Chess Federation (FIDE) ranking points during the IV El Llobregat Open in Spain. This marks her third Indian female player to achieve this prestigious title, joining Koneru Humpy and Harika Dronavalli. Vaishali, from Tamil Nadu, is part of the first-ever grandmaster siblings pair in chess, alongside her 18-year-old brother Praggnanandhaa, a chess sensation.
